Ok folks this is good Stuff. On the farm I use a 500 gallon feed tank for my hydrophonic feed system. This is the system that I use to grow my squash plants for the blossoms that we sell. I use a mixture of 15-0-0 of water soluble calcium nitrate and a mixture of 5-20-20 that has the other water soluble nutrients. These two mixtures must be kept seperatly to keep the calcium nitrate from turning to a solid. Once they mixed in a tank the water can be used for two weeks before this happens. At this stage the water must be removed and a new mixture is made. This is a total waste of unused nuttrients. So, what does GMX have to do with this? I placed a model 400 fluid conditioner on a 16mm line from a small circulation pump in my feed tank.This pump runs 24 hours a day. The past year I have never cleaned my tank out, keeping it full to feed my plants. I had algae growth inside of the tank on 98% of the surface. I needed to clean and disenfect the tank for the new growing season. So I added 3 gallons of bleach filled it up to the top and waited 24 hours. When I pumped the water out I was shocked, the algae was gone ( no big surprise with the bleach ) but the tanks surface was 99% free of calcium deposits. In my other tank that I have used in the past, the calcium deposits are on the sides of the tank like a rock! Also the amount of deposits that were in the tank were loose like sand and not sticky. What a easy clean up. To make things even more amazing is that I use a deep well water. My water hardness is over 25ppm, great for my plants and no problem for GMX! I wish I had the foresight to take before pics, but any body that uses water tanks can understand what a great thing this is. Just think... a $140.00 conditioner and $50.00 pump, no wasted nutrients, no chemicals to clean calcium depostits, and very little time and effort for a clean tank.
