Lettuce:  We have four types: Butter Crunch, Green Salad Bowl, Red Salad Bowl, Red Sail

Spinach  Not much

Pac Choy:  mid May

Shiitake Mushrooms:  now and until December

Oyster Mushrooms: now and until December

Sugar Snap Peas: harvest in about 30 days

Fava Beans:  harvest in about three weeks

Onions:  Fresh, white, yellow, red: Baby size harvest in about four weeks late May

 Basil: harvest end of May

Tomatoes:  Organic grown, heirloom types of red, yellow and orange harvest starts at the end of May

Peppers:  Mostly sweet bells, white, purple, red, yellow, orange, green, brown full size and miniatures. This list could change. Harvest early June

Squash:  Baby pans mixed colors harvest early June

This is a new system   for this year and it is   a work in progress. The ideal of this market purchase program is to give the Customer the opportunity to view and pre-select the items they would like for the week. After selecting the items a purchase order will go out to the farmer. The farmer will take that order, go to field and harvest what is ordered and deliver it to the Market for you; the customer to pick up.   The customer will no longer have to worry about being to late to get the items they want and the Farmer doesn't have a loss in over harvesting the produce   This link: http://cheatham.locallygrown.net/market will have more details.
